THE E-TEC G2

The new Evinrude E-TEC G2 is the first Evinrude outboard completely designed and built, start-to-finish, by BRP.

STARBOARD-STARBOARD DESIGN

The Starboard-Starboard is a new exhaust architecture on Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines 200 H.O. and above. By having the exhaust ports on both banks, the rotating crankshaft naturally pushes the pistons to the starboard side. This avoids where the pistons exert their greatest pressure on the cylinder wall. This revolutionary design makes the engine even more reliable and more durable.

ON-ENGINE OIL TANK

The Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines are the only outboards with an internal oil reservoir.  It has a built-in funnel located on the top of the tank for easy fill, opening your boat with more free space.

PUREPOWER COMBUSTION

We created the most efficient piston/cylinder design in the industry for optimal engine combustion. The combustion chamber of the Evinrude E-TEC G2 was designed with input from the University of Wisconsin - Madison to maximize the fluid dynamics taking place before and after combustion for more mid-range torque, better scavenging, improved fuel economy, and lower emissions.

MAGNETO POWER

The Beltless Magneto Alternator powers your outboard with up to 40% more power to spare at idle*. Typical alternators are driven by belts that wear and can break. By putting the magneto at the end of the vertical crankshaft on the top of the engine, Evinrude harnesses the tremendous power of the engine producing far more amps than a small alternator can produce.
