Sturtevant, WI, July 19, 2006 – BRP Evinrude® angler, Tom Keenan, has been awarded the 2006 FLW Walleye Tour Angler of the Year title. The award was presented at the FLW tour event held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on July 15. Keenan won with 547 points, 27 points ahead of the second-place finisher. Anglers competing in the Green Bay tournament had great luck fishing the Geano Reef area from July 12 through 15.
"It was an action-packed tournament," said Keenan. "I've been backed by Evinrude power for three years now and the reliability of the new E-TEC technology certainly adds to my confidence level." His ninth-place finish in Green Bay boosts his number of top-10 FLW tournament finishes to seven. Keenan hails from Hatley, Wisconsin, and has career earnings of $472,800.

With Team Evinrude member Anthony Gagliardi winning the FLW Angler of the Year for the bass circuit just last week, this is the second Angler of the Year title taken in the past two weeks by an Evinrude angler.

- 1st place with 547 points – Tom Keenan, Hatley, WI
- 3rd place with 496 points – Scott Fairbairn, Hager City, WI
- 4th place with 492 points – Bill Ortiz, Richland Center, WI
- 7th place with 473 points – Scott Steil, Richmond, MN
- 8th place with 468 points – Troy Morris, Bismark, ND
- 9th place with 459 points – Jason Przekurat, Stevens Point, WI
