EVINRUDE E-TEC DISTINGUISHED AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS

2006 Registration for use on Lake Constance by the Bodensee-Schifffahrts-Ordnung Commission, also known as BSO (Lake Constance Nautical Regulations), for operation on the pristine waters of Lake Constance, bordered by Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

2006 SAE Arch T. Colwell Merit Award was received by a team of BRP engineers for authoring papers of outstanding technical merit on "Predicting and Optimizing Two-Stroke Engine Performance Using Multidimensional CFD" written on their work to develop the advanced E-TEC technology for Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines. Recipients of the award are Yangbing Zeng, Sebastian Strauss, Peter Lucier and Todd Craft.

2005 Wisconsin Governor’s New Product Award, “First Place” and “Best in State” Commending the development, manufacturing and marketing of new and innovative products.

2005 Clean Air Technology Excellence Award by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). First-ever outboard engine technology to receive this prestigious award recognizing low emission levels.

Canadian Safe Boating Award (CASBA) of Best New Marine Environmental Product for 2004 by the Canadian Safe Boating Council

2004 Engine of the Year Award from Motor Boats Monthly, a London-based publication

Evinrude E-TEC outboard technology has been designed to the European Union standards that will go into effect January 1st, 2007.

Evinrude E-TEC engines all comply with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) rating system and meet its stringent 3-Star standards for ultra-low emissions.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued regulations that will deliver a generation of cleaner burning engines. The complete line of Evinrude E-TEC engines meets or exceeds EPA regulations.

As of January 2007, a new Australian emission rating system will be introduced based on international emission regulations and proactively supported by BRP.
