Maintenance. Funny thing about outboard engines: fishermen actually like to use them. By the time you take a two-stroke Evinrude® E-TEC 225 H.O. in for its first scheduled dealer service, you'll take a comparable Yamaha 225 four-stroke in seven times. Seven times. That's seven weekends lost. Maybe it's just us, but we'd rather go fishing than go to the mechanic. Another reason that, when it comes to E-TEC, two is greater than four.
