    Thanks.  Thought as much and may give it try myself. Is removing the side covers as simple as it looks -- loosening the bolts on the back and front of the cover? I assume the first step would be removing the top cover, then removing the side(s).  Any other trick to it?  I read the earlier post about not over tightening.

    One other item that I just remembered that may affect WOT. This boat originally had a Yamaha motor. The previous owner replaced with a Ficht, but he did not replace the controls or gauges. Ocassionally, the motor does not go into or out of gear properly. Is it possible that the controls need to be adjusted to allow the throttle to open a little mor ...
