RICHARD PALMERSHEIM JOINS BRP AS VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND STRATEGIC PLANNING - OUTBOARD ENGINES

Sturtevant, Wis., October 12, 2006 – BRP has appointed Richard Palmersheim to the newly created position of vice president, Marketing and Strategic Planning - Outboard Engines. A former executive with S.C. Johnson, Inc., Richard is responsible for leading the BRP Outboard Engine North American marketing and planning teams from the company's Sturtevant, Wis. facility. In his new capacity, Richard will be responsible for creating marketing strategies and increasing market share for BRP's Evinrude® and Johnson® products throughout North America.

"Richard's background in marketing and management, from a company recognized for its innovative product development, brings new management depth and experience at a critical growth period for BRP's Outboard Engine division", said Roch Lambert, vice president, general manager, Outboard Engines. "We are pleased to add Richard to our management team as we continue to accelerate the opportunistic expansion of our outboard engine marketing strategies."

Richard joins BRP following a career spanning more than 21 years with S.C. Johnson, Inc. a global marketer and manufacturer of leading consumer products where he held a number of complex and increasingly responsible positions during his career. Most recently Richard served as Global Category - General Manager in the U.S. where he was responsible for defining the global business strategy and product commercialization plans for 11 brand categories. Prior to that Richard served as Group General Manager - Australia and New Zealand where he was responsible for all commercial activities.

Richard received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin- Madison with an emphasis in Marketing, Finance and International Business where he also Page 2 received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and Finance.
