        The temp senders tell the EMM how warm each cylinder head is, and if either one gets too hot, the EMM recognizes that there is a problem and slows the motor down to 1200 rpm.   The EMM also has its own internal temp sensor that will trigger the overheat alarm and engine slowdown if it gets too hot due to a restricted cooling water flow.
